Appearance
Deep cherry color that suggests a young and vibrant wine.
Nose
Nose is rich in aromas and pronounced in intensity. We are struck by the ripe red fruit, later we get the wood nuances with gently sweet notes of vanilla to finish with other sweet spices.
Palate
On the palate it is perfumed, soft and fresh with a long finish that leaves memories of red fruit, vanilla and cocoa.

Im not the biggest...
Im not the biggest wine drinker, but Ive been trying a few brands here and there. What Ive learned is that I prefer red wine with a good balance between sweet and dry. This wine is on the dryer side and has a perfume like aftertaste. I found that it tasted a little better after it had been out for a while. It was still too dry for my taste. If you prefer dry wine this will be up your alley but for those that prefer sweet I would look elsewhere.

I just recently...
I just recently discovered Tempranillo wines from a local wine bar and I was so excited to have the opportunity to review one for Influenster! You really can't go wrong with the Campo Viejo Rioja Tempranillo! It is a light, full bodied red that pairs very well with sharp cheddar crackers and salami. I shared the bottle with my husband and coworkers and we all really enjoyed it. At $8 a bottle, we will definitely be purchasing again.
