Pleasantly surprised

I don't buy on trends and hate pressure sales and this was more of a conscience issue because I caved into trying Mr M MIK as I like bourbon (also fan of scotch but that's not the point). So, not one to play favorites, I caved into buying this gin. I've inherited a rather large stock of alcohol for one person who only drinks occasionally. However, one of my regular drinks is G&T. My sister and BIL introduced me to botanical gins mixed with ice cold Fresca or flavored/plain tonic water. It's caloric so, yes that was mindful decision. But it was also a parental summer drink. Work in the yard, take a shower, then grill and nice G&T on a hot summer's eve. I hadn't open this bottle because, well, it's not summer and it's about 3 bottles away from the rotation. I opened it to give a review hoping I wouldn't have to lie because well, it's endorsed by MIK's Sam. That would've been a family chuckle explaining my review to fans of Outlander. In short (too late). It's tasty without mixers, without simple syrups, etc. I like the initial bouquet (is that the right word) and the flavors as they cruise the palate. So I can honestly say I do not regret the purchase for my liquor cabinet and will be appreciating it this summer sitting on the deck eating crabs. 🦀 Cheers/Slainte! 🥃
