Won't hold Humidity levels. Unreliable. Not Recommended.

Paid over $500 dollars for a unit that would provide peace of mind for my cigar collection. It is advertised almost as a set it and forget solution for cigar storage. After 6 weeks of use it has proven to be unreliable and a waste of money. I should have paid attention to all the negative reviews with regards to the inaccurate temperature readings and more importantly how impossible it is to maintain the HUMIDITY at a safe level for cigar collection. Yes, I seasoned as recommended by Newair website. I also used the Boveda seasoning kit with the 84% packets. Nothing. I used Boveda packs for humidity, placed a 320 gram pack at the bottom and one 60 gram pack at each tray level. Did this setup with the 69%, then 72%, now using 75% humidity packs. No luck. The relative humidity dropped to below 63% on all levels in a matter of 3 to 4 days. I confirmed this with three separate thermostats and hygrometers that are all well calibrated. All of them showed same readings. I cannot keep the humidity at a recommended level for my cigars. I am not a novice on cigar storage. My cedar desktop humidor requires less work and is more reliable. Very disappointed. I will see how Newair responds.

Not only do they have great humidors, they also have great customer service. Keeps my cigars in pristine condition! 10/10 just set it and forget it!
