The Ultimate Accessory For A Cigar Lover

First off, I love opening the door to the aroma of the Spanish Cedar Shelves . . . The unit is strong and well-built. It's like a mini-tank! Every think feels high end and operates as you'd expect. The control panel is very sleek and easy to use. I love the stainless steel look with the glass front. For me, this is a well-sized unit as well. It fits well on a counter and the gives me a ton of room to add to my collection. And of course, it holds the humidity to ensure my cigars last. And the subtle touches really make this unit special. The lock to ensure kids (or friends!) don't mess with my cigars is a must-have. The interior light helps put the unit on display and reminds me to find time to slow down and enjoy a cigar.

Time for an Upgrade

Over the last several years I have gravitated away from tradition humidors and went to using several smaller tupperdors because they were easy to maintain and regulate the humidity. The NewAir humidor is leaps and bounds from how I've typically stored my cigars and after 7 days it seems my decision was the right one, though it is still early. Regardless, I am still impressed and pleased with this product. Below is a short list of good and items of note to be aware of prior to making this type of investment. The Good: 1. Sleek design 2. Instructions were detailed enough to set up, season, and regulate humidor with ease 3. Great top lighting 4. Good amount of storage (room for individual cigars and cigar boxes) 5. Can lock door when needed 6. Runs quietly Items of Note: 1. Battery for hydrometer was dead upon delivery A. I had an extra battery on hand-quick fix 2. One of the slats on the shelf separated during delivery A. Was able to press the slats back together-quick fix 3. Took about 7 days to remove manufacturing/plastic smell from unit (follow instructions) 4. Would have loved to see additional lights located towards the middle and lower shelves
