Exotically delicious
I prefer dark rums over light, but I think the Mount Gay Eclipse would easily suit any rum drinker. I tried it straight up and it has such a good flavor profile. The aroma is just as described with hints of vanilla and banana. It would make a perfect base for a rum punch but also suited for a simple mix with soda or ginger ale where the rum flavor can shine through.

Makes a great Dark and Stormy!
I love Dark and Stormy's in the winter months. The mix of the dark rum, Irish Ginger Ale or ginger beer, and a splash of wine is a great warm and relaxing drink. The Mount Gay is a smooth and tasty rum for this. I'm sure it will make a great rum and diet as well! I look forward to trying different recipes.
