mount gay black barrel rum

Not bad, average

I wouldnt say there's anything spectacular about this rum. Tastes as you would expect. My brother had it as a rum and coke. Said he was able to taste the aromatic flavors. I had it in a strawberry daiquiri.

Smooth and tasty

Rum is my go-to alcohol of choice and i had never seen nor heard of the Mount Gay brand so was intrigued to try out something new. The scent is giving smoky caramel and vanilla and the taste is spot on. I tried in both a shot and mixed with Coke and enjoyed it both ways. As a shot it went down smooth with no aftertaste or burning, and mixing it with Coke was a great combination of sweet/smoky/spicy notes.
