This is exactly what I was looking for in a ready to drink cocktail. I poured this right over a big chunk of ice and garnished with an orange twist as suggested on my rock glass and I was amazed at how good it was! This irreverent old fashioned recipe is a mix of Monkey Shoulder rich, vibrant and smooth blend whisky with bold, bespoke bitters and golden sugar to give you a legendary Old Fashioned without any fuss: simply chill, pour and garnish with an orange twist! While I find it slightly sweet, this is a maltier and creamier take on the classic whisky staple and also better showcases the orange notes that you should definitely add through an orange twist garnish. It got heavy on that anise note, and actually has significant bitterness to it as well. It's also resinous, almost amaro-like, with an alpine herbaceousness. I'm getting honey, florals and lots of licorice. All in all, it's a very different take on the structure of the old fashioned but not too shabby at all!

This is a very smooth malt liquor. I enjoy mixing my whiskey with my sweet tea. This blended nicely and was not overpowering and was smooth.
