Monkey Shoulder Blended Scotch Whiskey

Monkey Shoulder has a smokey, woody nose when poured straight with citrus, applewood and malt on the pallet. A drop of water opens up pine and leather aromas and eases back the malt on the tongue. A splash of seltzer water gives a sweet malty air and opens the flood gates on sugar and malt. Overall I enjoyed this scotch most with a splash of water. It reminded me of sitting by a fire, dads cigar small lingering in the cushions with a smoked meat cooking in the kitchen.

Smooth great night cap

So I got this for my mom who loves her night caps. She tried this and said it was smooth and had some sweet notes with a hint of spice. She said it was good and not too over powering. She liked it and definitely will buy it again.
