To start, this is my first Mezcal purchase and I'm not a huge hard alcohol drinker. First thoughts: tastes like a super smoky, light tequila - very smooth tho! Overall, this liquor was drinkable and enjoyable in a mixed cocktail. It had a very smoky flavor, which is the signature element with Mezcal's. I will definitely drink it again, but it wouldn't be the first, or even 2nd/3rd, beverage I'm grabbing for - which is why I gave it three stars. Would this be my first at home Mezcal, I would rate it underwhelming, but enjoyable! When I was going to purchase this, a fellow store, coworker came up to me and said this is one of his favorites, and that you cannot go wrong. So, if you love, Mezcal, this would definitely be a brand to try!

A mezcal worth trying for great value!

My husband is a HUGE fan of mezcal so when I heard about an opportunity for him to try a new one, I jumped on it. As per the 400 Conejos website, he paired his mezcal with an orange and some salt (although we prefer a spiced salt which is more of a Spanish style of sipping mezcal). His response was "Wow, very smooth and just the right amount of smoke". He said it was almost like you could taste volcanic earth. He also noted that he thought it was a great value for the quality. All in all, I see this mezcal being a new favorite. Note- We received a portion of this product (discount) free for testing purposes, but this review is 100% honest.
