Don't hesitate to pay...
Don't hesitate to pay more for this. It's worth the taste. One of the smoothest flavors. Yes, those shots at the bar will cost you more than house vodka or some other bottom shelf drink, but it's worth it No need to mix it, just sip and enjoy, pour it over rocks

for a mid-range scotch...
for a mid-range scotch whiskey, this is not bad. it has a bit of the peat-y, iodine-y flavor that I love in my expensive scotches, but can also be blended with mixers without feeling that you're wasting money. if I'm going to be mixing, I usually go with the Red Label; but if I have a bottle of this and feel like mixing instead of drinking it straight, I go ahead. this is best by itself, on the rocks.
