Amazing Whiskey!!!

I had this in the basement with some spur of the moment buys and "savers." I was making my wife a whiskey mule, and we ran out of our house rye. I decided to open this one to make the cocktail and decided to taste it before mixing it. I got a hot first taste with spice and some alcohol, and then it was something I never tasted: warm, ripe black cherry and walnuts (and I have never understood review notes till now). This stuff got my taste and my attention, even after a couple of cocktails. OUTSTANDING. I will have to buy some more. If this is true rye, I have been missing out. Wow!

The taste of American whiskey. Has some qualities in common with Old Potrero whiskies. No other rye has this. This is the true American spirit.
