glenfiddich 14 year old bourbon barrel reserve single malt scotch whisky

I'm fairly new to single malt scotches. This is my first time trying Glenfiddich. I chose the 14 year Bourbon Barrel Reserve. I am very impressed. My first impressions are, beautiful color in a very nice bottle. The aroma is rich and complex. I take my scotch with ice and my husband likes it neat. My first sip I noticed how smooth this scotch is. No bitterness and a slight smoky and peat impression. It goes down warm and no burning sensation. After taste of vanilla and almost a nutty almond essence. A great scotch to be sipping on outdoors by a fire on a crisp evening. This will be on my regular rotation of spirits in the home bar.

excellent!! one of the best single malts I've ever tried! the packaging is beautiful and so is the taste! The oak flavor is phenomenal along with the hints of caramel and apple at the end. I had this on the rocks. I will definitely be buying this one again! simply amazing and highly recommend!
