I would definitely buy it again
This was not what I was expecting. Very well balanced whiskey. You smell it and can immediately taste it. It had fancy packaging and the cost was decent.

An Islay in the style of Speyside
This particular Scotch took me by surprise as it is technically an Islay. Islays are notoriously peat-heavy (think super earthy moss). This Islay is more akin to a Speyside which I describe as a less sweet bourbon for an American comparison. It has all of the fruity notes that a Speyside does with some vanilla nuances and a slight hint of smokiness (a slight nod to its Islay origins). The canister it comes in is like your typical whiskey canister but is bright blue in color (I guess maybe going for a more modern look). But don't be fooled; this can stand up to the rest of the Speyside-style Scotches as the flavor was on point! I drank this neat and there was almost no bite (which I prefer in a whiskey). Definitely get your hands on this one if you're looking for an easy drinker with tasty flavors of fruit and vanilla!
