basil hayden kentucky straight bourbon whiskey

New Bourbon drinker and this is my fav so far.

Just recently developed a taste for bourbon. Have tried several to include Willet Pott, Makers Mark 46, and Woodford Reserve. Basil Hayden is my fav so far. Enjoy it neat or with ice.

Basil Hayden's in the backcountry!

I first tasted BH on a backpacking trip in Yellowstone National Park in August 2020. Our group of 5 fishermen were 11 miles from the trailhead the first night after carrying 45 pound packs all day. I pulled several small bottles of Jack Daniel's out of my pack thinking I was going to be a hero at the campfire. One of our group pulled out a bottle Basil Hayden's. He quickly became everyone's new best friend and I don't think any of us have bought anything but Basil Hayden's since. BTW, we would like some BH in plastic bottles next year. They're lighter than glass so we can carry more! Mack Andrews Germantown Tn
