With time it becomes one of the greats

When I first opened a bottle of Basil Hayden's Dark Rye I wasn't too impressed to be honest, but after drinking 1/2 the bottle and letting it sit for few months it's changed into an experience I've never had before. I think the addition of port has helped this rye evolve into a very unique whiskey. If you're a wine lover, then I think you'd enjoy this whiskey.

Didn't know rye could be so good

Recently, I planned an event for 80 people at 5 Church in Charleston, SC., and we had a great evening with fine food and top shelf drinks. Our guests were not only impressed with the food, but they commented on the exceptional level of service that the wait staff provided. After hearing nothing but good things, it was time for me to have a drink. The staff recommended Basil Hayden Dark Rye neat. I went for it and the rest is history. I shared a sip with my colleagues and we had to order 4 more. Very smooth and delicious.
