angostura® aromatic bitters

I almost walked past this in the isle while picking it up. I thought it would be much bigger then what it was . I had to I totally do some research to figure out exactly how to use it . I found it's usually used in an old fashion . So I grabbed some bourbon and gave it a try . It it's self has a spice to it almost , used a few splashes in the glass. Over all it's ok , a bit overwhelming taste for me but I can see why some would like it .

I will be making more old fashions!

So I learned that this is used when making alcoholic drinks, specifically old fashioned! The smell is very strong and distinct. The taste is very nice and flavorful, but not offer powerful when mixed in a drink. The packaging reminds me of an old timey elixir.
