The Blackleaf Mule

Blackleaf Organic Vodka

The Blackleaf Mule

I see myself barefoot in the sun, picking mulberries  sweet and purple-stained, so of course a minty,  gingery mule had to carry those memories forward.  Tastes like sticky fingers and barefoot races. Sip fast,  it’s summertime somewhere. -Thandi

The Blackleaf Mule is summer in a copper mug—ripe with memory, bold with berry, and charged with ginger fire.

Curated by Thandi Walton, this cocktail is more than a riff on a classic—it’s a barefoot sprint through nostalgia, splashed with soul and shaken with joy. Built on the velvety base of Blackleaf Organic Vodka, the Mule takes on a refined smoothness that lets the other flavors shine without interference.

Blackleaf’s clean, organic character amplifies the cocktail’s vivid brightness, letting the fruit and spice come alive. Muddled blackberries form the heart of this cocktail—juicy, lush, and just wild enough to keep things playful. Paired with the bite of fresh lime juice, a touch of simple syrup, and the herbaceous lift of slapped mint leaves, this Mule hits every note: sweet, tart, aromatic, and cool.

And then comes the sparkle—Fever Tree Ginger Beer, poured over fresh ice to finish the drink with that signature mule kick of warm, bubbly spice. Garnished simply with mint and a single blackberry, the presentation whispers summer elegance. But don’t be fooled—this drink runs wild. It tastes like sticky fingers, sun-drenched afternoons, and mulberry-stained memories.

As Thandi says, sip fast—it’s summertime somewhere. And with The Blackleaf Mule in hand, you’re already there.

      • Add ice and shake vigorously for about 10 to 12 seconds until well chilled.
