* To make the pink peppercorn syrup: In a saucepan over medium heat, toast ¼ cup of pink peppercorns while lightly crushing them with a muddler to release flavor. Once fragrant and slightly toasted, remove from heat and combine with 1 cup of sugar and 1 cup of hot water. Stir until the sugar dissolves completely. Cool and store refrigerated for extended shelf life.

      Instructions

      • In a cocktail shaker, combine 1 ½ oz. of Blackleaf Organic Vodka, ¾ oz. of pink peppercorn simple syrup*, and ½ oz. of freshly squeezed lemon juice.
      • Add ice and shake vigorously for about 10 seconds until well chilled.
      • Double strain into a chilled flute glass.
      • Top with Mionetto Prosecco, pouring gently to preserve the bubbles.
      • Express a thin strip of orange peel over the glass to release its oils, then manicure the edges for a clean look and place it neatly inside the flute or on the rim as a refined garnish.
